In a recent report, Marca claimed that Real Madrid are preparing to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe this summer. It is understood that Los Blancos are weighing up an offer for the French striker but PSG are unwilling to sell him in this off-season (via Marca).
Mbappe’s Outstanding Form At Parc Des Princes Last Season
Mbappe had another sensational campaign at Paris recently as he continued to be a consistent scorer for the French giants over the past 12 months. The 22-year-old banged in 42 goals and secured 11 assists in 47 matches for PSG last season in various competitions.
The ex-Monaco talent was one of the best players in French football in the previous campaign after he averaged 3.4 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.9 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1. He has even been excellent when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass success rate of 80.7% in the French top tier (stats via whoscored).
Mbappe is currently amongst the most feared forwards in Europe, so it will be a massive coup for Los Blancos if they can devise a way to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium before the end of this summer transfer window.
Will Mbappe Be A Dream Signing For Real Madrid?
Mbappe is blessed with excellent pace and can complete quite a few dangerous dribbles in the final third. He can often turn on the afterburners to get the better of his marker in the opponent’s half. The French sensation is also an unforgiving finisher in front of the opposition half and can even create some decent chances for others around him. He hardly gives away the ball that makes him such an unstoppable force in the attacking end of the pitch.
Landing a player of Mbappe’s quality would be an incredible coup for Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti as the Frenchman has all the right attributes to become the next face of the Madrid club. The PSG superstar will add plenty of goals and creativity to Ancelotti’s first team and could go on to form a brilliant attacking partnership with Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior over the next few seasons.
With all things considered, Mbappe will be a dream signing for the Spanish outfit ahead of the new campaign. Ancelotti can expect him to lead Los Blancos to many more trophies if the Italian tactician can get him on board this summer.
