In a recent report, The Daily Mail mentioned that Chelsea are ready to sanction a £95m deal to re-sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer. It is understood that the Blues are prepared to seal a big-money move to bring the Belgian international back to Stamford Bridge before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month.
On top of that, famous journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have sealed the deal for the Belgian forward.

Lukaku’s Remarkable Goal-Scoring Record In Italian Football
Lukaku had another excellent campaign at Milan after he continued to flourish as the focal point of Inter’s attack. The Antwerpen-born sensation took part in 44 matches for the San Siro-outfit last season, scoring 30 goals and securing ten assists across all competitions.
The 28-year-old proved himself to be a consistent goal-getter once again based on his average of 2.7 shots, 1.4 key passes 1.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in the previous Serie A campaign. However, Lukaku can be a bit more careful when interchanging possession with his teammates in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 72.5% in the top tier of Italian football (stats via whoscored).
The Belgian frontman is under contract with the Milan giants until the summer of 2024, so it is no wonder that Chelsea are willing to pay around £95m to lure him back to the Premier League in this summer transfer period.
Will Recruiting Lukaku Be A Good Move For The Blues?
Lukaku has made a habit of making some powerful runs in behind the opponent’s backline and can use his robust 1.91m frame to get the better of his marker in the attacking end of the pitch. He is currently one of the most lethal finishers in European football, as he usually strikes the ball with power and accuracy. The Belgian sensation can even contribute by picking up a few important assists for his team and played an instrumental role behind Inter’s title win last season.
The former Everton centre-forward will undoubtedly bring a lot of goals to Stamford Bridge, so recruiting him could go a long way in helping Thomas Tuchel ease his attacking concerns going into the new Premier League campaign.
Lukaku will be a more prolific alternative to Timo Werner and is good enough to secure a regular place in Chelsea’s first team next season. Hence, landing the Inter Milan star will be a decent move for the Blues in this off-season as he already knows the West London club well from his previous spell and won’t take any time to settle into life at the English capital.
