Barcelona will play hosts to Getafe at the Nou Camp on Sunday afternoon as they try to secure maximum points at home. The Catalans were held to a 1-1 draw by Athletic Bilbao earlier this month, so they will be eager to return to winning ways in La Liga this weekend.
Ronald Koeman could stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation and will be forced to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Eric Garcia is suspended for this game, so Ronald Araujo is expected to start alongside Clement Lenglet at the heart of the Barca backline.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Getafe
Defence
Neto will probably continue to feature in goal for the Catalan giants as Marc-André ter Stegen is still out injured. As mentioned earlier, Ronald Araujo will play with Clement Lenglet in central defence as they look to keep a good shape at the back and secure a clean sheet in front of their home fans.
Sergiño Dest will function as the right-back while Jordi Alba hopes to produce a good display at left-back. Both of them will be given the freedom to express themselves in the Getafe half so that they can offer enough support for the front players.
Oscar Mingueza is a minor doubt for this game. If the youngster can be fit on time, he will be named on the bench as cover for the centre-half positions.
Midfield
Sergi Roberto will play alongside Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong at the centre of the park. They will have to figure out a way to create some meaningful opportunities for their teammates to find the back of the net.
Riqui Puig will be available for selection on the Barca bench and could come on to play in the second 45 minutes if Koeman decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Martin Braithwaite will operate as the left-sided wide player while Antoine Griezmann hopes to put in a goal-scoring display from the right. Memphis Depay will function as Koeman’s primary centre-forward up top. The Dutch striker got his name on the score sheet versus Bilbao which will give him some confidence ahead of this league clash versus Getafe.
