West Ham United will entertain Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a positive result at home. The Hammers have made a great start to this Premier League campaign and are currently sitting at the top of the table having won both their league matches recently.
David Moyes could stick with the winning formula and opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation for this game. West Ham are expected to lineup with the same first team that started in the 4-1 win over Leicester City last weekend.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will function in between the sticks for the East London outfit after he conceding one goal versus the Foxes in his last league appearance. Angelo Ogbonna will operate along with Craig Dawson in central defence as they focus on stopping the Eagles from creating too many chances over the 90 minutes.
Vladimír Coufal will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Aaron Cresswell looks to impress on the other side as the left-back. Moyes will give both of them the freedom to get to the byline and whip in a few inviting crosses into the Palace penalty box. Both West Ham full-backs will also have to keep a good defensive discipline if they are to stop Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew from causing problems out on the wide areas.
Issa Diop will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they try to dominate the opposition and engineer some decent openings in the final third. Pablo Fornals, Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen will once again operate just ahead of them as part of West Ham’s frontline. Both Fornals and Benrahma got their names on the scoresheet versus Leicester recently, so Moyes will hope that they can keep their good form going this weekend.
Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble are expected to start on the bench as they wait for their chance to feature in the second half if required.
Attack
Antonio has been in red hot form in front of the opponent’s goal of late, having scored three goals already in the Premier League this season. The English striker will once again lead the charge for the London giants up top.
