Spain will lock horns with Poland at La Cartuja Stadium on Saturday night, hoping to pick up their first win of the Euro 2020 campaign. The hosts will be coming into the match on the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with Sweden. On the other hand, Paulo Sousa’s men recorded a 2-1 loss against Slovakia.
Luis Enrique will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game, as Gerard Moreno looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven. Below is 4-3-3 Spain Predicted Lineup Vs Poland.
4-3-3 Spain Predicted Lineup Vs Poland
Defence
Unai Simon is expected to start in goal for the upcoming home encounter. The Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper would be looking to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Saturday.
Aymeric Laporte will continue to form the centre-half partnership with Pau Torres at the heart of Spain’s backline.
Jordi Alba is a guaranteed starter at the left-back position, whereas Marcos Llorente is expected to start on the other flank as the left-back. The duo would be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.
Midfield
Rodri might start in the holding midfield position. The Manchester City star could be assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the home side’s back-four.
Koke will slot into the central midfield role, whereas 18-year-old Pedri is expected to start in the attacking midfield position. The duo would be determined to set up some clear cut goal scoring chances for the front men.
Thiago Alcantara will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he could come on to make a cameo appearance in the second half.
Attack
Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing respectively.
Gerard Moreno is expected to lead the line for the hosts against Poland. The 29-year-old striker looked sharp after coming on against Sweden on Monday, and he’d hope to pick up where he left off by getting his name on the scoresheet on Saturday.
