Mancini To Keep Changes To A Minimum | 4-3-3 Italy Predicted Lineup Vs Belgium

Belgium will lock horns with Italy at Allianz Arena on Friday night, hoping to pick up a positive result and progress into the semi-finals of the Euro 2020 tournament. Roberto Martinez’s side will be heading into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory over Portugal, whereas Roberto Mancini’s men recorded a thrilling 2-1 victory over Austria in the Round of 16.

Roberto Mancini will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation; however, he might keep changes to a minimum for the upcoming encounter.

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma is expected to start in goal for the upcoming encounter. The AC Milan shot-stopper would be looking to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Friday.

Leonardo Bonucci will form the centre-half partnership with Francesco Acerbi at the heart of Italy’s backline.

Leonardo Spinazzola is a guaranteed starter at the right-back position, whereas Giovanni Di Lorenzo will fill in on the left flank in the absence of Alessandro Florenzi. The duo would be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.

Midfield

Jorginho is expected to start in the central midfield position, whereas Nicolo Barella will slot in as the defensive midfielder. The pair would be looking to put up a strong performance and dominate the midfield proceedings against Belgium. Manuel Locatelli seems likely to start in a more advanced position.

Matteo Pessina will have to settle for a place on the bench but could be brought on in the latter stages of the game if needed.

Attack

Lorenzo Insigne and Domenico Berardi will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing respectively.

Ciro Immobile is expected to lead the line for his side against Belgium. The 31-year-old striker would hope to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the Belgian defence that has conceded just one goal in their last four games.
