Les Blues will be coming into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw vs Hungary. On the other hand, Fernando Santos’ men recorded a tragic 4-2 loss against Germany. Didier Deschamps will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game as Corentin Tolisso looks likely to get the nod over Adrien Rabiot. Defence
Hugo Lloris is expected to start in goal for the upcoming clash. The Tottenham shot-stopper would be looking to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Wednesday.
Presnel Kimpembe will continue to form the centre-half partnership with Raphael Varane at the heart of France’s backline.
Lucas Hernandez might replace Lucas Digne at the left-back position, whereas Benjamin Pavard is expected to start on the other flank as the right-back. The duo would be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.
Midfield
N’Golo Kante might start in the holding midfield position. However, the Chelsea star could be assigned more of a defensive role to shield the away side’s back-four.
