In a recent report, AS has mentioned that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe is prepared to join Real Madrid this summer or at the end of next season. It is believed that the French speedster wants to play in Spain with Los Blancos eager to secure his signature (via AS).
Mbappe’s Fine Form In French Football This Season
It has been another marvellous campaign for Mbappe in Paris as he has managed to produce several eye-catching displays on the right side of the PSG frontline. The French attacker has scored 42 goals and grabbed 11 assists in 47 matches for the Parisian giants this term across various competitions.
The 22-year-old has been a joy to watch in French football based on his average of 3.4 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.9 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1 this season. He has even distributed the ball relatively well in the attacking third of the field, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 80.7% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).
Mbappe is still under contract at Parc des Princes until the summer of 2022, so he could be sold by PSG on a cut-price fee in this off-season or else he would be free to join Los Blancos as a free agent before the start of the 2022-23 campaign.
Will Mbappe Be A Dream Signing For Los Blancos This Summer?
Mbappe boasts blistering pace and can make some encouraging runs in behind the opposition backline. He can turn on the afterburners to get past his marker with ease and is usually a deadly finisher in front of the opponent’s goal. The France international can also create a yard of space to either set up a teammate or get a shot in on-target himself.
The PSG forward’s quickness and finishing ability make him one of the most feared strikers in world football. Hence, there is no denying that Mbappe will be a dream signing for the Madrid giants if they can agree on a fee with the French outfit to land the player this summer.
Otherwise, Los Blancos will have no option but to wait for him to run down his contract at Paris and become a free agent in the summer of 2022 when they could finally get their man. Either way, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has to do everything in his power to get Mbappe on board as he is a generational talent who could become the next face of European football. Plus, he will undoubtedly add a lot of quality to Los Blancos’ ageing first team.
