West Ham United will lock horns with Burnley at the Turf Moor on Monday night, hoping to pick up a positive result on their travels. The Hammers will be heading into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Chelsea, whereas Sean Dyche’s men recorded a thumping 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
David Moyes will probably opt for his usual 5-3-2 formation against the Clarets; however, the Scottish tactician is expected to keep changes to a minimum for the upcoming away encounter.
5-3-2 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski will continue to operate in between the sticks for the Hammers. The Polish international will be hoping to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Monday.
Issa Diop will form his customary centre-half partnership with Angelo Ogbonna at the heart of West Ham’s backline, with Fabian Balbuena occupying the right centre-back position.
Vladimir Coufal is a guaranteed starter at the right wing-back spot, whereas Ryan Fredericks will fill in on the other flank as the left-back. Up against Burnley, the full-backs will be expected to operate high up the pitch.
Midfield
Tomas Soucek will continue to feature alongside Mark Noble in the holding midfield position, with the latter being assigned with more of a defensive role to shield the home side’s back-four.
Pablo Fornals will slot in the attacking midfield position to complete the midfield trio. The Spanish international will be determined to engineer some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.
Manuel Lanzini will have to settle for a place on the bench but might come in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Jesse Lingard will form the strike partnership with Jarrod Bowen upfront. The duo will be hoping to find the back of the net when they face off against the Burnley defence that has conceded nine goals in their last five league matches.
Said Benrahma could be brought on to make a cameo appearance in the second forty-five minutes.
