Leeds United locked horns with Burnley at Turf Moor earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a victory on the road in the Premier League. The Whites made a strong start to the game and took the lead just before the half-time break courtesy of Mateusz Klich’s excellent finish.
Jack Harrison doubled the West Yorkshire outfit’s advantage at the hour mark when he found the back of the net with a well-improvised finish. Rodrigo came off the bench to score a quick-fire brace as Marcelo Bielsa’s men ended up securing a 4-0 win away at Lancashire.
Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player fared during the match against the Clarets.
GK: Illan Meslier – 8/10
The Whites keeper won some important aerial duels and managed to pull off a few solid saves to keep his clean sheet intact.
RB: Luke Ayling – 7/10
Ayling cleared his lines when called into action and even managed to earn possession back a couple of times for his side. He struggled to influence the game in the final third.
CB: Diego Llorente – 7/10
The Spanish defensive ace maintained a good shape at the back and did enough to keep the Clarets attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
CB: Pascal Struijk – 7.5/10
He made several crucial clearances inside his half and was a dominant force in the air.
LB: Ezgjan Alioski – 7/10
He didn’t have to do too much defending but managed to fashion two good chances for his teammates in the final third. Alioski ended the game with an assist to his name.
RM: Raphinha – 7.5/10
The Brazilian talent was a real livewire down the right-wing as he made a couple of promising runs in the Burnley half. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

Phillips worked hard to stop the Clarets from creating too many chances from midfield. He also managed to engineer a decent opportunity going forward.

He made two essential interceptions and performed well enough to offer enough protection for his teammates. Offensively, he hardly got involved in the attacking end of the pitch but did orchestrate a meaningful opening in the opposition half.
CM: Mateusz Klich – 7.5/10
Klich gave his team the lead with a brilliant finish from long range. He was a threat throughout his time on the field.
LM: Jack Harrison – 9/10
Harrison caused all sorts of problems for the Burnley defenders during the 90 minutes. He finished the match with a goal and two assists to his name.
ST: Patrick Bamford – 6/10
The English striker failed to create anything of note in and around the Burnley penalty box and got replaced early in the second half.
Substitutes:
ST: Rodrigo – 8.5/10
The Spaniard netted two quick-fire goals after coming off the bench which sealed an emphatic win for Leeds.
CM: Tyler Roberts – 6.5/10
