In a recent tweet, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has stated that Everton are eyeing a move for Nantes attacker Randal Kolo Muani. It is believed that the Toffees are hoping to finalize Moise Kean’s permanent transfer to Paris Saint-Germain and have identified the Ligue 1 striker as an ideal replacement for him this summer.

Muani’s Impressive Form In French Football This Season
The 22-year-old has caught the eye with some of his performances for Nantes this season and deserves credit for establishing himself as the focal point of their attack. Muani has registered nine goals and nine assists in 39 matches for the French outfit this term across various competitions.
The Bondy-born talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 1.6 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1 this season. However, he needs to improve his accuracy when interchanging possession in the attacking end of the field after completing 67.3% of his attempted passes in the French first division (stats via whoscored).
The seven-time France Under-21 international has shown a lot of maturity with his performances at the Stade de la Beaujoire this season, so the Toffees will do well to bring him to Merseyside during the summer transfer period.
What Will The French Marksman Bring To Goodison Park?
Muani has decent pace under his belt and can make some clever runs with the ball in the final third. He also boasts impressive strength that helps him to win some important headers for his side. The French youngster has contributed by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Moreover, he is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on the right flank if required.
Recruiting Muani in this off-season will be a good move for Everton as they are in dire need to add more firepower to their attacking department. The Nantes star will undoubtedly ease the attacking workload for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Goodison Park in the coming seasons. He would also bring a lot of goals and assists to the Merseyside club that might help them make a good cup run and challenge for a European spot in the Premier League next season.
At 22, Muani could grow into a future star in English football if the Toffees can figure out a way to get him on board this summer. He would also be a great replacement for Moise Kean, who has struggled to prove his worth in English football so far despite enjoying a fruitful loan stay at Paris recently.
