Barcelona will entertain Celta Vigo at the Nou Camp on Sunday afternoon as they try to secure maximum points on the road. The Catalan outfit were held to a 3-3 draw by Levante in midweek, so they will be desperate to return to winning ways in La Liga.
Ronald Koeman will probably make one tweak to his first-team for this league clash at home. Ronald Araujo could get a start in central defence at the expense of Oscar Mingueza who will drop to the bench.
3-1-4-2 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Celta Vigo
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will feature in between the sticks for Barca after shipping in three goals versus Levante earlier this week. Koeman will set up with a back three of Ronald Araujo, Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet for this game at the Nou Camp. All three defenders will have to be at their best if they are to stop Celta Vigo from finding the back of the net this weekend.
As mentioned earlier, Oscar Mingueza will be available for selection on the bench as he provides cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Sergio Busquets will operate as the defensive midfielder for Barca and his main focus would be to earn the ball back quickly for his team. The dynamic duo of Frenkie de Jong and Jordi Alba will play as the box to box midfielders as they look to orchestrate some clear-cut chances in the attacking third.
Pedri will get the nod to impress on the left-wing while Ousmane Dembele looks to produce another productive display down the right flank after his goal-scoring performance versus Levante in midweek.
Sergino Dest, Riqui Puig and Miralem Pjanic will make up the numbers on Koeman’s bench as they wait for their chance to catch the eye in the second half if needed.
Attack
Lionel Messi will once again share the attacking responsibilities alongside Antoine Griezmann up top. Messi managed to get his name on the scoresheet in his last league outing, so we can expect him to carry most of the goal-scoring workload in the final third.
Martin Braithwaite will have to settle for a place on the bench but could come on to make an impact in the latter stages if Koeman decides to call upon his services.
