Amidst the entire European Super League chaos, Zidane has delivered an unexpected injury update for Real Madrid ahead of their scheduled meeting against Chelsea next week. Eden Hazard will be fit to play against his former side in the first leg at the Alfredo de Stefano Stadium in Madrid.
Initially, Zidane had ruled out the possibility of Hazard recovering in time for this vital meeting. The latest development has given Los Blancos some much needed good news as the Whites are crippled by injuries at such a crucial stage in the season.
The Belgian has had a torrid time since his switch to Madrid two seasons ago with injuries being a major contributing factor apart from poor form. With a prolonged spell on the sidelines, Hazard would be roaring to get back to the starting eleven and get amongst the action. However, the Real Madrid winger will have to wait until next week before taking to the pitch.

During Zidane’s conversation with the Spanish press ahead of Real’s fixture against Cadiz, the French gaffer revealed that Hazard will not be a part of the proceedings against the 16th placed opposition. Zidane was also prompt in delivering an update on Toni Kroos who is yet to fully recover from his injury. Dani Carvajal too is back amongst the mix and has even started training with the team. Speaking to the press Zidane was quoted saying by Marca –
“He (Hazard) is feeling very better and he is ready. He wants to be back more than anyone else.
We have been more cautious with [Dani] Carvajal and Hazard because they are relapses. They are both better and that is good for the team.
Hazard will not be there and Toni Kroos will not be there (Against Cadiz). If Hazard is not there, it is because he is not one hundred per cent.
The important thing is that when he returns he is one hundred per cent. Eden’s feeling is not the same and you have to be very attentive. I just said it, it’s a different case. Your feeling is the most important”
