In-form Leeds were desperate to clinch a win against Manchester United following a 6-2 humiliation at Old Trafford. The Red Devils, on the other hand, have been astounding on the road, but could not open their books this afternoon.
Below are the Leeds United players rated in their 0-0 draw against Manchester United.
Illan Meslier: 7.5
The young Frenchman made some routine saves as the poor finishing of the Red Devils could not cause much harm in Leeds’ defence.
Luke Ayling: 7.5
Kept on making overlapping runs and linked up with Helder Costa from the right-hand flank. Made a number of tackles to break down the visitors’ moves, but his crosses and long balls lacked accuracy, unlike the previous outings.
Diego Llorente: 8
The Spaniard denied Liverpool a win in the previous gameweek with a late header and is finally proving his worth after a difficult start to life in West Yorkshire. Was spot on with his tackles, kept on blocking and clearing United’s through balls, also made some key recoveries throughout the encounter.
Pascal Struijk: 8
Did well to partner Llorente in the heart of the backline. Made some crucial interceptions and maintained authority both aerially as well as physically inside the box. Was in the right place at the right time to deal with Man United’s attacking prowess.
Ezgjan Alioski: 7
Mistimed a few tackles and was booked in the second half for blocking Marcus Rashford’s run. Did not offer much going forward but managed to perform his defensive duties with his work ethic and combative approach.
Kalvin Phillips: 8.5
Marshalled the backline with sheer expertise. Kept creating chances from the ‘hole’ with his vision and majestic distribution. Had control over the ball and broke down an array of United moves in the middle of the park.
Helder Costa: 6
Tried to cut inside and threaten Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men with his pace, link-up play and footwork. However, the Portuguese failed to produce anything spectacular and was taken off with 20 minutes remaining to make way for Mateusz Klich.
Stuart Dallas: 6.5
Worked tirelessly as always. Carried the ball out from the deep to operate in the advanced areas, but his shooting let him down on this occasion. Got dispossessed twice under pressure from United midfield.
Tyler Roberts: 6.5
Caused problems at times with his swift runs, smart one-twos and down the middle runs. However, his final delivery and finishing still remain a concern. Made way for Robin Koch late in the match.
Jack Harrison: 6
The Man City loanee had a few successful dribbles from the wide. But his crosses let him down big time. Was taken off to be replaced by Ian Poveda midway through the second half.
Patrick Bamford: 6
Was not allowed enough space inside the box. Kept on losing the duels against a stern United defence and failed to make any notable impact during the game.

Ian Poveda: 6.5
Was calm with the ball at his feet as he tried to create something from the wide with his twists and turns.
Mateusz Klich: 6.5
Made a positive impact in the middle of the park, but his decision making should have been better on a few occasions.
Robin Koch: 6.5
Ensured the clean sheet with an important late block as he was introduced to add more strength in the defensive third.
