Barcelona will be locking horns with Getafe this Thursday evening with a fixture scheduled at Camp Nou. Barcelona lifted their maiden trophy of the season with a 4-0 win over Athletic Bilbao in Copa del Rey. Getafe, on the other hand, were successful in grabbing a point from their draw against Real Madrid.
Ronald Koeman will have a full-strength squad to chose from except for the likes of Ansu Fati, Neto and Philippe Coutinho. Not many changes are expected to the side that took the field against Athletic Club last weekend. Here’s how Barcelona could take to the field against Getafe on Thursday evening –

Defence
Marc Andre Ter Stegen will take command in goal. The goalie has made crucial saves in recent weeks to keep his team alive in the Primera Division and a similar performance will be expected out of the German shot-stopper on Thursday evening. Oscar Mingueza and Clement Lenglet are expected to be the centre backs for this fixture. Gerard Pique is most likely to retain his place in the starting eleven after making his return against Athletic Club in the Kings Cup Final. Sergino Dest will start at the right wing-back position after showing some mesmerising performances in recent weeks. Jordi Alba will start on the extreme left-hand side of the defensive line.
Midfield
Ronald Koeman has stuck to the midfield partnership of Busquets, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong this season and the trio will be put to test against a Getafe side that knows how to block the passing channels with great effect. Pedri will have to show his creative spark and keep things ticking in the centre of the park for the Catalans. Busquets will want to keep things as simple as possible in midfield and do what he does best. The Dutch gaffer could introduce Moriba and Pjanic in the second half if things are not going Barcelona’s way.
Attack
Lionel Messi will pair up alongside Antoine Griezmann in attack upfront. The two attackers have linked up with relative ease in recent matches and Koeman will want them to deliver the goods against Getafe as well. Messi, in particular, has always come up with important goals for the Catalans and that is evident from the fact that the Argentine has already scored 25 goals in La Liga this season. Martin Braithwaite and Francisco Trincao will make up the numbers on the bench for Barcelona.
