Leicester City will lock horns with West Brom Albion at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night, hoping to pick up a positive result on their home turf. The Foxes will be heading into the contest on the back of an impressive 1-0 win over Southampton in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, whereas the away side recorded a 3-0 win against the Saints.
The hosts will probably opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation with a couple of tweaks from their last match as James Maddison looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
5-3-2 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Southampton
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel is expected to start in goal for the Foxes, having kept just one clean sheet in his last four league outings.
Brendan Rodgers could choose to field a back five consisting of Timothy Castagne, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Fofana and Ricardo Pereira as they look to keep things solid at the back on Thursday.
However, their prime objective will be to keep Matheus Pereira quiet throughout the ninety minutes.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans will partner Ndidi at the centre of the park; however, they might be assigned very different roles. The former should take up a more defensive position, shielding the back three, whereas the latter will stay central, dictating play with his ball distribution.
James Maddison will start in the attacking midfield role. The Englishman would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.
Ayoze Perez will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Jamie Vardy will lead the charge for the Foxes down the middle. The English striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net when he faces off against the West Brom defence that has kept two clean sheets in their last five league matches.
Kelechi Iheanacho will take up the secondary striker position. He has been in fine form lately, and he’d to hoping to add to his goal-scoring tally against the Baggies.
