West Ham United will face off against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Monday night as they look to pick up maximum points on the road. The Hammers were held to a 3-3 draw by Arsenal before the international break, which has somewhat halted their momentum in the Premier League.
David Moyes will probably set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. However, the East London outfit will be sweating on the fitness of Pablo Fornals, Arthur Masuaku and Andriy Yarmolenko ahead of this important league showdown versus Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will resume his duties in goal for the Hammers after conceding three goals versus the Gunners last month. Issa Diop will continue to feature alongside Craig Dawson in central defence as they try to neutralise Wolves’ Willian Jose’s threat during the game.
Vladimír Coufal will operate at right-back while Aaron Cresswell focuses on producing another hard-working performance on the other side as the left-back. Moyes will ask both of them to maintain a solid shape at the back and try to catch the Wolves wide players off guard on the counter.
Fabian Balbuena and Ben Johnson will make up the numbers on the bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will be given the responsibility to function as the holding midfielders as they try to gain some control at the centre of the park. The promising trio of Said Benrahma, Jesse Lingard and Jarrod Bowen will play just ahead of them as part of David Moyes’ attack.
Mark Noble and Manuel Lanzini will be available for selection on the bench but could come on to add some energy to the Hammers first-team in the second half if needed.
Attack
Michail Antonio will once again lead the line for the East Londoners in the final third. The English frontman failed to score in his last league appearance, so he will be eager to return to his goal-scoring ways when he laces up to face off against the Wolves defenders on Monday night.
