Everton will lock horns with Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium on Monday night as they look to pick up a positive result on the road. The Toffees were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace earlier this month, so they will be eager to put on a more productive showing versus the Seagulls in the Premier League.
Carlo Ancelotti will set his team up in a 3-4-1-2 formation and is expected to make a couple of tweaks to his first team for this game. Allan is a slight concern ahead of this match but could recover in time to start in Ancelotti’s midfield while Ben Godfrey comes into the side to fill in as a centre-back.
3-4-1-2 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Robin Olsen will operate in goal for the Merseysiders after shipping in one goal versus the Eagles in his last outing. Everton could lineup with a back three of Ben Godfrey, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane as they try to restrict the Seagulls from finding the back of the net during the game.
Mason Holgate will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Tom Davies and Allan will anchor the midfield and take up the responsibility of protecting their teammates at the back. However, Andre Gomes can be ruled out of this game because of his hamstring injury.
Lucas Digne will feature as the left-sided wing-back while Seamus Coleman looks to put his experience to good use down the right flank. James Rodriguez will play just ahead of them as he operates as the free-flowing attacking midfielder in the Brighton half.
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jean-Philippe Gbamin will be available for selection on the bench but could come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Richarlison will once again lead the line for the Toffees along with Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top. Both of them failed to register their names on the score sheet versus Crystal Palace, so Ancelotti would hope that they can bang in some goals and make a difference on Monday night.
Joshua King will have to settle for a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to impress in the latter stages if Ancelotti decides to call upon his services
