Manchester City welcomed Borussia Monchengladbach at the Puskas Arena earlier tonight, hoping to pick up a positive result in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie. Pep Guardiola’s men made a quick start to the game and took the lead in the 12th-minute courtesy when Kevin De Bruyne hammered the ball in with a powerful strike. Ilkay Gundogan doubled Man City’s advantage just six minutes later with a curled effort. The home side cruised to a 2-0 lead at half-time.
Both sides cancelled each other out in the second 45 minutes as the contest ended 2-0 in favour of the Mancunian giants, which ensured their place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League after a 4-0 aggregate win over the two legs.

The German midfield ace made a couple of crucial interceptions and doubled Man City’s lead in the 18th minute with a sensational finish.

The Belgian playmaker opened the goal-scoring with a wonderful strike. He also created some meaningful chances for his teammates in the attacking third of the pitch.
