It is understood that the Portuguese winger does not fit into Ronald Koeman’s new system at the Nou Camp, which could interest some English clubs like the Foxes as they were interested in landing him last summer (via El Confidencial).

The former Braga youngster has endured a frustrating season with the Catalans as he has struggled to give a good account of himself under Ronald Koeman’s stewardship. Trincao has appeared in 36 matches for Barca this term, registering three goals, two assists and three yellow cards in various competitions.
Most of the 21-year-old’s appearances have come off the bench which explains why he is only averaging 0.9 shots, 0.3 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. The Portuguese wing wizard has at least taken care of the ball when distributing possession from the wide areas after making 85.5% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).
Trincao’s current deal with Barca is set to run out in the summer of 2025, but he seems surplus to requirements in Koeman’s squad, so a move to Leicester makes sense for the player as he could flourish playing under a great man-manager like Brendan Rodgers.
