Barcelona have been handed a massive injury boost with Sergi Roberto set to mark his return to first-team action post the commencement of the International Break. The Spaniard spent two successive two-month spells on the sidelines in relation to his thigh troubles.
Roberto first picked up an injury against Atletico Madrid and made a brief return to football in the Copa del Rey against Granada before sustaining another injury which has kept him off the field ever since. The player has been extremely unlucky this season to say the very least. Roberto was even diagnosed with coronavirus during the early days of the season.
Things are set to change now for Ronald Koeman who has been troubled with injuries time and again during his first season in charge at Camp Nou. Roberto has recovered just in time for the second El-Clasico of the season and could be involved in proceedings at the Alfredo de Stefano Stadium in April.
