Liverpool will clash heads with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night hoping to pick up all three points on the road. The Reds managed to earn a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers before the international break which will give them some momentum heading into this weekend’s clash at North London.
Jurgen Klopp will probably set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to keep changes to a minimum for this Premier League encounter versus the Gunners. However, the Liverpool head coach will be sweating on the fitness of Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi as they are both major doubts for his game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Reds after keeping a clean sheet versus Wolves in his last league outing. Ozan Kabak is expected to resume his centre-half partnership with Nathaniel Phillips as they look to keep the Arsenal attackers at bay throughout the 90 minutes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will once again operate at right-back while Andrew Robertson focuses on putting in another tireless performance as the left-back. Klopp will give both his full-backs the license to join in on the attack so that they can create some decent chances for their teammates up top.
Rhys Williams and Neco Williams will offer cover for the defensive positions on the Liverpool bench.
Midfield
Fabinho will once again operate in his usual position as the defensive midfielder while both Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara look to gain some control for the Reds at the centre of the park. The midfield trio will have to find a way to engineer some decent goal-scoring opportunities in the final third.
James Milner and Naby Keita will make up the numbers on the bench but could come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
Attack
Sadio Mane will be a nailed-on starter on the left-wing while Mohamed Salah tries to weave his magic from the right flank. Diogo Jota will get the responsibility to spearhead Klopp’s attack down the middle. The Portuguese striker scored the only goal of the game versus Wolves and even went on to bang in a few more for Portugal during the international break. Therefore, his confidence will be sky-high going into this exciting league showdown at the English capital.
