Everton entertained Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park earlier tonight looking to secure a victory and book a place in the next round of the FA Cup. The Toffees made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the third minute when Davinson Sanchez found the back of the net. However, Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised for the home side in the 36th minute before Richarlison completed the turnaround just two minutes later when he scored as well.
The Merseyside outfit weren’t done yet as they went on register another goal courtesy of Gylfi Sigurdsson’s penalty in the 43rd minute, but Erik Lamela got a goal back for Spurs in the first-half injury-time. The Toffees went into the half-time break 3-2 up on the scoreline.
It was Davinson Sanchez who scored again for Tottenham in the 57th minute to make it 3-3 on the night. Carlo Ancelotti’s men got themselves ahead yet again courtesy of Richarlison’s goal in the 68th minute but amazingly, Spurs found a way to equalise via Harry Kane’s goal in the 83rd minute as the match finished with a remarkable 4-4 scoreline in normal time.
Bernard came off the bench to score the winning goal in the 97th minute as Everton hung on to grab an entertaining 5-4 win after extra-time at Goodison Park.
Let’s take a look at how each Everton player performed during the match versus Spurs.
GK: Robin Olsen – 7.5/10
The Toffees goalie made a plethora of good saves and even pulled off a couple of clearances as well to help his side get over the line with the win in the bag.
RB: Ben Godfrey – 7/10
Godfrey had to do a lot of defending and did well to stand up to the test. He even cleared his lines when needed and was solid at the back in extra-time.
CB: Michael Keane – 6.5/10
Keane showed a lot of grit in the face of adversity and made several essential contributions in defence.
CB: Yerry Mina – 5.5/10
The Colombian had to make a lot of clearances during the game but ended up letting in four goals tonight which won’t please him.
LB: Lucas Digne – 7/10
The French full-back did his best to protect his teammates but ended the game conceding four goals during the 90 minutes. Offensively, he was excellent as he was responsible for creating several meaningful chances in the final third.

Doucoure was full of energy and running at the centre of the park. He made a few driving runs with the ball and engineered a couple of decent opportunities for his teammates to score.

The English midfield ace had the tough job to protect his backline and tried his best to do so. However, he struggled to make an impact in the opposition half.
RM: Alex Iwobi – 6/10
Iwobi made a few good tackles but failed to influence the game in the final third. He was taken off in the second half.
CAM: Gylfi Sigurdsson – 9.5/10
The Icelandic international generated all sorts of problems for the Tottenham defenders and ended the game with a hattrick of assists and a goal to his name.
LM: Richarlison – 8.5/10
The Brazilian attacker scored two crucial goals in each half. He also got back to defend when required.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 8/10
The English marksman lasted only 54 minutes but performed well enough to bag a goal and an assist.
Substitutes:

He cleared the danger a couple of times after coming off the bench.
RM: Bernard – 7.5/10
Bernard came on to net the winning goal in extra-time.
