Leeds United entertained Everton at Elland Road earlier tonight hoping to pick up a win and improve upon their form in the Premier League. The visitors started the game in a positive fashion as Gylfi Sigurdsson found the back of the net just nine minutes into the game, following which Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled the lead deep into the first half. It was the hosts who made an encouraging start to the second half as Raphinha put the ball past Olsen from close range; however, they failed to find the equaliser as the match ended 2-1.

Robin Olsen – 8/10
The Swedish shot-stopper pulled off a couple of match-winning saves in the second-forty minutes as he helped his side stay in the lead.
Mason Holgate – 6/10
The English right-back played his part in both halves of the pitch as he supported the attacks and defended decently at the back.
Yerry Mina – 7/10
The Colombian centre-half was a rock at the back as he made numerous tackles and clearances to fend off the threats posed by the Leeds’ attackers. He was dominant aerially as well.
Ben Godfrey – 7.5/10
The English defender played an instrumental role tonight as he did some brilliant defending to earn his side the victory.
Lucas Digne – 8/10
The French full-back whipped in some excellent crosses throughout the ninety minutes and even got himself an assist early into the first half.
Abdoulaye Doucoure – 7.5/10
The Frenchman’s duties were mostly limited to his own half of the pitch. Nonetheless, he did a commendable job in protecting the ‘back-four’ with the minimum of fuss.
Andre Gomes – 7/10
The Portuguese midfielder was very alert at the centre of the park as he intercepted numerous crucial passes to break down Leeds’ buildup. Besides, he sprayed some important passes upfield.
Gylfi Sigurdsson – 8/10
The Iceland international provided the visitors with the lead 9 minutes into the match as he found himself completely unmarked on the end of Lucas Digne’s cross. He engineered a few decent chances for the front-men as well.
Alex Iwobi – 7/10
The 24-year-old winger did plenty of running down the right-hand side as he outpaced his opponents time and again to carry the ball into potentially threatening areas.
Richarlison – 6.5/10
The Brazilian international pulled off some audacious tricks to get past his markers in the opposition half but he looked really awful in the final third.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 7.5/10
The English striker finally managed to end his dry spell as he headed the ball past Illan Meslier from a corner situation. He often dropped deep to create space for the wide-men and link-up the attacking gameplay.

Was probably brought on to add solidity to the Toffees’ backline. Made a crucial block in the dying moments of the game.
