Wolverhampton Wanderers will clash heads with Leeds United at the Molineux Stadium on Friday night hoping to pick up another three points in the Premier League. The West Midlands club managed to get the better of Southampton after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory at St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend, which will give them some momentum heading into this league contest at home.
Nuno Espirito Santo will probably stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and is expected to bring Max Kilman back to his first-team at the expense of Romain Saiss. Otherwise, Wolves could lineup with the same team that started against the Saints.
3-4-3 Wolves Predicted Lineup To Face Leeds United
Defence
Rui Patricio will feature in between the sticks for Wolves after he shipped in one goal in his last league start. Nuno Espirito Santo could opt for a back three of Leander Dendoncker, Conor Coady and Max Kilman for this game. All three of them will have to be at their best if they are to stop the Whites from finding the back of the net on Friday.
Ki-Jana Hoever will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ruben Neves will anchor the midfield along with Joao Moutinho as they focus on winning the midfield battle and causing the opposition a few problems with their passing in the attacking third. Jonny Castro will fill in as the left wing-back while Nelson Semedo gets another chance to impress on the right flank. The Wolves manager will instruct both his wing-backs to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack so that they do not let too much space behind for the Leeds attackers to exploit on the counter.
Vítor Ferreira, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fernando Marcal will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine as the impact substitutes in the second half if needed.
Attack
Pedro Neto will be a nailed-on starter on the left-wing following his match-winning heroics versus the Saints last weekend. Adama Traore will try to use his pace to get to the byline and whip in some inviting crosses into the Leeds penalty box. Willian Jose will once again lead the charge for the Midlands outfit down the middle.
Fabio Silva will have to be content with a spot on the bench but could come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.
