In a recent report, Sky Sports has mentioned that Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing a £31m move for Everton forward Moise Kean, who is enjoying a decent run of form while on loan at Parc Des Princes this season. It is believed that the French club are currently in negotiations with the Toffees over a permanent move for the Italian forward (via Sky Sports).
Kean’s Impressive Loan Spell In French Football
The 20-year-old has caught the eye for producing a series of goal-scoring displays alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at the French capital this season. The talented youngster has registered nine goals and one assist in 16 appearances for the Parisian outfit this term across all fronts.
Kean has been on fire while playing as the focal point of the PSG attack as he is averaging 2.3 shots, 0.3 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1. However, he has been poor when linking up play with his teammates in the final third as evidenced by his pass success rate of 71.8% in the French top-flight (stats via whoscored).
The Vercelli-born prospect has established himself as one of the Ligue 1’s best strikers during his loan spell at Paris. Hence, it makes sense for the player to seek a permanent switch away from Everton next summer. However, he is currently under contract at Goodison Park until the summer of 2024, so Carlo Ancelotti will be in no hurry to cash in on him.
What Does The Italian Frontman Offer On The Pitch?
Kean has decent pace in his locker and can make some driving runs with the ball in the attacking third of the field. He is an exciting young striker who has proven his worth as a composed finisher in front of the opponent’s goal this season.
The Italian sensation has struck up a productive attacking partnership with Neymar and Mbappe, but needs to be more careful when passing the ball to his teammates in the opposition half. He is still quite inexperienced at the highest level after struggling to give a good account of himself in the Premier League last season.
Why The Toffees Should Cash In On Kean
The Toffees should consider cashing in on Kean as soon as possible especially if they can recoup £31m for his services because Ancelotti can use that fee to strengthen other areas of his squad or bring in a capable back-up for Dominic Calvert-Lewin up top.
All in all, the Merseyside club can benefit from cutting him loose as he is clearly not good enough to succeed in English football at the moment. A move to PSG will be advantageous for both Kean and Everton as it will offer them a chance to move on in search of more success in the years to come.
