In a recent report, The Daily Mail has mentioned that Manchester City youngster Jayden Braaf is close to sealing a loan move to Italy. It is understood that the Man City winger will have his medical with Udinese soon with Pep Guardiola’s side hoping to move him on permanently for around £8m and include a sell-on clause as well (via The Daily Mail).
Braaf’s Inability To Gain Some First-Team Experience At Man City
The Dutch wide player is yet to make a senior appearance for the Mancunian giants but has established himself as a top performer for the club’s Under-23 side of late. Braaf has taken part in 24 matches for Man City’s U-23 team, scoring 12 goals for them in the process.
The 18-year-old has done well to catch the eye with his performances in the Premier League 2 but is yet to get a senior call-up from Guardiola. Hence, it makes sense for the player to seek a move elsewhere on loan so that he can gain some first-team experience and take some big steps towards improving himself in the coming seasons.
Braaf’s career at Manchester has come to a standstill, so it is only fair for Man City to allow the talented winger to leave with the hope that he can come back to the Etihad Stadium as a better version of himself next summer. Another option for Guardiola would be to agree on a loan deal during this transfer window with a view of making his transfer permanent in the future.
What Does The Dutch Sensation Bring To The Table?
Braaf has electric pace, which he can use to get past his marker out on the wide areas. He showcases excellent agility, balance and close control when dribbling with the ball out on the flanks. The Dutch prospect can shoot the ball with power and accuracy that has made him such a lethal scorer in the Premier League 2. However, he is nowhere near ready to play for Guardiola’s first-team week in week out, so he will benefit from securing a move away from Manchester before the end of this transfer window.
Braaf Close To Joining Udinese On Loan: Good Move For Everyone Involved?
Now that Braaf is nearing a loan move to Udinese, he will finally get a chance to earn some valuable minutes in the Serie A which will help him get better on the field. Man City also needs to let some of their youngsters leave before the transfer deadline on Monday so that they can further their development in the remainder of this season. All in all, it will be a good move for everyone involved as Udinese will also be signing someone who would add some goals to their attack in the second half of this campaign.
