Oxlade-Chamberlain To Start, Shaqiri On The Bench | 4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Burnley

Liverpool will entertain Burnley at Anfield on Thursday night hoping to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds are currently enduring a poor run of form as they have failed to score in their past three matches in the league. Therefore, this upcoming game versus the Clarets could be a big opportunity for the Merseyside giants to bounce back and gain some ground in the title race.

Jurgen Klopp will probably stick with his preferred 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this clash at home. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could get a start in midfield at the expense of Xherdan Shaqiri, who might drop to the bench after his heavy involvement versus Manchester United last weekend.

Defence

Alisson Becker will retain his place in goal for the Reds after earning a clean sheet in his last league outing. Jordan Henderson will once again be unleashed as a makeshift centre-back alongside Fabinho as they look to produce a solid performance collectively at the heart of Klopp’s defence.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is in dire need to find some form as the right-back following a run of disappointing performances from him in recent weeks. Andrew Robertson will be a nailed-on starter at left-back as he looks to put on another industrious display in midweek.

Klopp will give both his full-backs the license to get forward and support Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah out on the wide areas.

Midfield

Thiago Alcantara, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make up the Liverpool midfield as they look to keep the ball moving in the hopes of finding an opening in the Burnley defence. The talented trio will have to find a way to create a few clear-cut chances for the front players during the 90 minutes.

Xherdan Shaqiri and Curtis Jones will be available for selection on Klopp’s bench as they wait for their chance to shine as the impact substitutes if required.

Attack

Sadio Mane will feature on the left flank as he looks to get in behind the Clarets backline using his pace and cause all sorts of problems for them inside the penalty box. Roberto Firmino will lead the line for the Reds down the middle while Mohamed Salah focuses on weaving some magic as the right-winger after a barren run from him in front of the opponent’s goal.

Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi will have to be content with a place on the bench as they provide cover for the attacking positions.
