Premiership giants Rangers increased their lead atop the Premiership table to 16 points tonight after a 3-1 comeback victory against Motherwell. The visitors were the ones who actually took the lead in the first-half, as Steven Gerrard’s men found themselves in a sensitive position yet again. Kemar Roofe blasted home the equaliser in the second-half, before substitute Cedric Itten put them in front, much to the relief of the Ibrox faithful. Kemar Roofe then sealed the deal with another goal in the final minutes of the game, to ensure they extended their lead atop the table.
Here Are The Rangers Player Ratings Vs Motherwell:
Rangers Player Ratings Vs Motherwell
Allan McGregor – 6.5
The veteran keeper did well to keep control of his area but wasn’t overly troubled on too many occasions. Was helpless with regard to the Motherwell opener in the first-half though.
James Tavernier – 6
The Englishman had an excellent headed chance in the first-half, but he was unable to meet with the header. Should’ve stood stronger on the lead up to the Motherwell goal.
Connor Goldson – 6.5
The big defender had what was far from one his best games this season, as he played a number of loose passes in the first half. Put in a much more composed second half display though.
Filip Helander – 6.5
Like his partner, the centre-half should’ve been much more tidy with the ball in the first-half, but he too showed a solid comeback in the second. Made some good attacking runs too.
Borna Barisic – 6.5
The Croatian international defender didn’t have the impact he might’ve been hoping for, but he did whip in a number of good passes. Tracked back and defended when required to.
Scott Arfield – 5.5
The veteran midfielder was unable to have his usual influence in the middle of the park as the Motherwell defenders denied him the opportunities to run in behind through the lines.
Steven Davis – 7
The veteran was calm and composed with the ball at his feet on numerous occasions, and even had the ball in the net, only for it to be ruled offside. Their best midfielder without a doubt.
Glen Kamara – 5.5
Like Arfield, the Finland international had one of his worst games in recent weeks as he struggled to get into the tempo of the game. Didn’t have time on the ball and looked out of it.
Kemar Roofe – 8
The Jamaican striker didn’t have the best of matches overall, but he stepped up when it mattered with two vital goals. Made sure to keep his head and blast the ball in both times.
Jermain Defoe – 5
The Englishman was unable to create inroads through the Motherwell defence, and he struggled to link up the play as well. Had a good chance that was stopped by the keeper.
Ryan Kent – 7
The Englishman tried his absolute hardest to give Rangers goalscoring opportunities, but a lot of the time he wasn’t helped out by his teammates. Made a couple of excellent runs.

The Romanian attacker wasn’t able to create too much of an impact after coming on, and he misplaced a couple of passes too.

The big man was jolly on the spot to head home the second Rangers goal, as he made sure to keep the ball high and give the keeper no chance to save it.
