Barcelona will clash heads with Cadiz at the Estadio Ramón de Carranza on Sunday night hoping to secure all three points on their travels. The Catalan giants are enjoying an excellent run of form as they have won their last three matches without conceding a goal across all competitions.
Ronald Koeman will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to bring most of his first-team starters back for this clash away at Andalucia. Hence, the likes of Lionel Messi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Philippe Coutinho will all return after being rested in the 3-0 win over Ferencvaros in midweek.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Cadiz
Defence
Ter Stegen will lineup in goal for Barca after he kept a clean sheet versus Osasuna last weekend. Clement Lenglet will once again resume his centre-back partnership with Óscar Mingueza at the heart of Koeman’s defence as they look to maintain a solid shape at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Sergiño Dest will get a start at right-back while Jordi Alba focusses on utilising his pace on the other flank as the left-back. Koeman will give them the license to get forward to offer some added ammunition to the front players from the wide areas.
Midfield
Koeman’s midfield will be comprised of Philippe Coutinho, Frenkie de Jong and Miralem Pjanic as they look to retain possession well at the centre of the park in the hopes of creating some decent chances to score for their teammates in the final third.
Pedri and Sergio Busquets will make up the numbers on the Barca bench but could come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if needed.
Attack
Antoine Griezmann has been playing well in recent weeks, so he is expected to get the nod to start on the left flank. Lionel Messi will return on the right as he looks to produce a productive performance in the opposition half.
Martin Braithwaite found the back of the net versus Ferencvaros in midweek which could earn him a spot to lead the charge for the Catalans down the middle. Both Francisco Trincao and Ousmane Dembele could be available for selection on the bench as they await their chance to impress as the impact substitutes if Koeman decides to call upon their services.
