Liverpool will take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday night as they look to return to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw away at FC Midtjylland in midweek. The Reds are flying high in the Premier League at the moment and will look to maintain the pressure on Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the league standings by picking up maximum points at the English capital this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will probably go with a 4-3-3 formation and could make a lot of changes to his first XI for this league clash versus the Cottagers. Curtis Jones could return to feature as one of the midfielders. However, Diogo Jota and Divock Origi could drop to the bench to make room for Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Fulham
Defence
Alisson Becker will be in a race against time to be fit to start in between the sticks for the Reds this weekend. Caoimhin Kelleher has done exceptionally well in the Brazilian keeper’s injury absence but will have to settle for a spot on the bench.
Joel Matip will resume his centre-half partnership with Fabinho as they try to restrict the Fulham attackers from finding the back of the net throughout the 90 minutes. Trent Alexander-Arnold will continue at right-back while Andrew Robertson returns to feature on the other side as the left-back.
Neco Williams will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Curtis Jones, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson will make up Klopp’s midfield on Sunday after their impressive collective display in the 4-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend. Wijnaldum got his name on the scoresheet with a brilliant finish in that game which will keep him in high spirits heading into this weekend’s contest away at London.
Naby Keita will have to settle for a place on the bench but could come to add some creativity and dynamism to the Reds midfield in the second half.
Attack
Klopp might revert to his familiar front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah this weekend. Salah scored his team’s only goal versus FC Midtjylland while both Firmino and Mane got a rest on the bench. Hence they will be raring to put on a good show at Craven Cottage on Sunday evening.
Diogo Jota will be named on the bench but could make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Liverpool are in need of a goal.
