Manchester United Player Ratings Vs Everton

Dean Henderson – 6.5

The youngster put in a good performance in between the sticks as he commanded his box in strong style. Made a couple of decent stops in the first half and never looked overly flustered.

Axel Tuanzebe – 6.5

The youngster tried to get forward and link up the play but he did misplace a number of passes. Was caught out of position a few times but worked quite hard in defensive phase.

Harry Maguire – 6

The Englishman made a number of key interceptions in the back-line, but he did have a couple of forgettable moments over the ninety as well. Needs to remain calmer under pressure.

Eric Bailly – 7

The big centre-half put in a dominant shift in the middle of the defence, despite his partner’s apparent hesitance. Won some important headers in the box and put himself about effectively.

Alex Telles – 6

The Portuguese full-back did well in glimpses during that tie, but he did try to impact the game in an attacking sense. Got caught out of position defensively on numerous instances though.

Paul Pogba – 7.5

The Frenchman put up what was one of his better performances this season, as he controlled the tempo of the game for large parts. Played some excellent forward passes too.

Nemanja Matic – 8

The combative Serbian’s work-rate in the middle of the park was spectacular, and the way he carried the ball was forceful too. Ran past challenges and tried to impact in the final third as well.

Mason Greenwood – 6.5

The youngster did come close to scoring in the first half, but it must be conceded that he slowly fizzled out of the tie. Made some good attacking runs but never really threatened otherwise.

Bruno Fernandes – 7.5

Manchester United’s top scorer was a constant bundle of energy in the final third of the pitch. He played some brilliant forward passes and hit the woodwork in the final minutes.

Donny Van De Beek – 5.5

The former Ajax midfielder was given a rare start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tonight, but it’s safe to say that he failed to seize the opportunity. Looked out of his depth on the flank as well.

Edinson Cavani – 8

The Uruguayan had a rather quiet game for about 80 minutes by his usual high standards. Turned the game upside down with a thunderous left-foot strike that gave United the late lead.

Substitutes

Anthony Martial – 7

The Frenchman was on the pitch for just around half an hour, but his impact was arguably what changed the game for United. Setup Cavani before scoring a late goal himself.

Marcus Rashford – 6.5

The Englishman added energy to the Manchester United front-line and created various opportunities. Played in a sharp through ball ahead of Martial’s goal in stoppage time.

Luke Shaw – NA

Didn’t have time to make an impact.
