Another week of Premier League football comes too soon as fourth-placed Leicester City lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently sitting two places above them in the table with just one more point.
Coming off the back of an embarrassing 2-0 home defeat, Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to pick up a positive result against the Lilywhites. However, it’s certainly going to be an uphill task against Jose Mourinho’s men as they will be desperate to bounce back to their winning ways after dropping points in two consecutive matches on the road.
The away side will probably opt for a 3-4-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from their last match. Ndidi might get the nod over Nampalys Mendy whereas Timothy Castagne seems set to feature for the first time since Leicester’s 1-0 win over Arsenal in October.
3-4-3 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel is expected to start in goal for the Foxes having kept just one clean sheet in his last three league outings. Rodgers could choose to field a ‘back-three’ consisting of Christian Fuchs, Jonny Evans and Wesley Fofana as they look to keep things solid at the back on Sunday.
However, their prime objective will be to keep the deadly ‘Kane-Son’ duo quiet throughout the ninety minutes.
Midfield
Ndidi will partner Youri Tielemans at the centre of the park; however, they might be assigned very different roles. The former should take up a more defensive position, shielding the back three whereas the latter will stay central, dictating play with his ball-distribution.
Timothy Castagne and James Justin will operate on the right and left flank respectively, looking to provide their side with some natural width.
Dennis Praet will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on as an impact substitution if needed.
Attack
Jamie Vardy will lead the charge for the Foxes down the middle, with James Maddison and Harvey Barnes occupying the wide positions. Having failed to register a goal vs Everton, the English striker will be desperate to add to his tally of 10 league goals.
Maddison, who has been in fine form lately, will be looking to engineer some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for his side.
Kelechi Iheanacho might have to be content with a spot on the bench but could come on to make a cameo appearance in the second half.
