Everton will entertain Arsenal at Goodison Park on Saturday evening looking to earn another positive result at home in the Premier League. The Toffees secured an impressive 2-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in midweek which will keep them in high spirits heading into this contest at Merseyside.
Carlo Ancelotti will opt for a 4-3-3 formation and will be forced to bring Andre Gomes back to his first-team in the injury absence of Allan. Otherwise, the Italian tactician is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this upcoming encounter versus Mikel Arteta’s men.
4-3-3 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Jordan Pickford will probably come back into the side for this clash against Arsenal. Michael Keane will partner Yerry Mina at the heart of the Toffees backline as they try to keep Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in check throughout the game.
Ben Godfrey will continue to fill in as a makeshift left-back while Mason Holgate fills in on the other side as a makeshift right-back. Both Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne remain sidelined for the Toffees, but Jonjoe Kenny would be available for a place on the bench.
Midfield
The Everton midfield will be comprised of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Andre Gomes and Abdoulaye Doucoure at the centre of the park. Allan picked up a hamstring injury versus the Foxes in midweek which will definitely keep him out of action this weekend.
Tom Davies could be available for Ancelotti to call upon off the bench as he will add some energy to the Everton midfield in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Richarlison will look to cause a few problems for the Gunners defenders on the left flank. Alex Iwobi will hope to do the same against his old club on the other flank while Dominic Calvert-Lewin leads the charge for the Toffees down the middle. The English striker is currently leading the Premier League golden boot race along with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-min Son after banging in 11 goals in the Premier League so far. Therefore, he will carry most of the goal-scoring workload once again up top.
Cenk Tosun will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to feature as a second-half substitute if needed.
