In a recent report, Le10Sport has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are planning to sign Everton striker Moise Kean permanently next summer. It is believed that the French club are eager to convert the Toffees’ season-long loan deal into a permanent move as they are convinced that he will bring a lot to the club in the future (via Le10Sport).
Kean’s Dream Start To His Loan Spell At Parc Des Princes
The 20-year-old has made an incredible start to his PSG career after producing a run of productive displays while spearheading Thomas Tuchel’s attack. The Italian frontman has banged in five goals and secured one assist in seven appearances for the Ligue 1 giants this term across all fronts.
Kean has not been afraid to have a strike on-target this season as he is averaging 2.5 shots, 0.3 key passes and 0.8 dribbles per game in the French first division. However, he has been sloppy with his ball-distribution as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 74.3% in league football (stats via whoscored).
The eight-time Italy international failed to cope with the physical nature and high intensity of Premier League football last season, so it is a no-brainer for him to seek a permanent move to Paris when his loan spell comes to an end next summer.
What Does The Italian International Bring To The Table?
Kean is blessed with decent pace and can make some energetic runs with and without the ball in the final third. He is also not shy of having a strike at goal and can score goals regularly when he is playing with confidence on the field.
However, he can throw away possession cheaply when linking up play with others around him and doesn’t have the strength to hold the ball up or win too many headers in the offensive end of the pitch.
Should The Toffees Sanction Kean’s Permanent Exit Next Summer?
At 20, Kean is only going to get better with each year, so Everton should only consider letting him go if they receive a big fee for him at the end of this campaign. If the Italian marksman goes on to have a successful campaign in the Ligue 1, then it only makes sense for the Toffees to demand a considerable amount in exchange for his services.
Carlo Ancelotti has currently got Dominic Calvert-Lewin firing on all cylinders but he lacks a decent back-up to the English striker. Hence, the Italian boss should consider whether to give Kean another chance next season or else cash in on him to fund a move for a quality centre-forward in the summer of 2021.
