Manchester United will lock horns with Paris Saint-Germain at Le Parc des Princes on Tuesday night looking to pick up a result on their travels. The Red Devils managed to secure a dominant 4-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday which will keep them in high spirits heading into this midweek game at Paris.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few tweaks to his starting XI for this upcoming contest versus Thomas Tuchel’s men. Alex Telles could be in line to make his debut for Man United as the left-back.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup To Face Paris Saint-Germain
Defence
David De Gea could keep his place in goal for the Red Devils despite conceding seven goals in his past two outings. Eric Bailly might get the nod to start alongside Harry Maguire at the centre of the Man United backline as they try to keep Kylian Mbappe quiet during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to operate at right-back while Alex Telles makes his debut as the left-back. Solskjaer would want both his full-backs to keep a good shape defensively so that they can restrict PSG from creating too many chances from the wide areas.
Midfield
Nemanja Matic will anchor the midfield along with Paul Pogba after the pair were rested versus the Magpies on Saturday. The talented trio of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata will play just ahead of them as part of the Red Devils attack. Both Rashford and Fernandes got their names on the scoresheet in their last outing which will give them a confidence boost going into this European encounter against the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
Donny van de Beek will be available for selection on Solskjaer’s bench as he waits for his chance to shine as an impact substitute if needed.
Attack
Anthony Martial will get the responsibility to lead the line for the Mancunian giants up top. He will carry most of the goal-scoring burden but would be fresh for this game after missing out on the 4-1 win over Newcastle due to suspension.
Odion Ighalo might have to be content with a spot on the bench but could come on in the second half if Man United require a goal late in the game.
