Leicester City will entertain West Ham United at the King Power Stadium on Sunday as they try to pick up all three points and maintain their 100% winning start to this Premier League season. The Foxes are flying high at the moment after they humiliated Manchester City by securing a victory by a 5-2 scoreline at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.
Brendan Rodgers will revert to a 4-1-4-1 formation but will be sweating on the fitness of Jamie Vardy, Jonny Evans and Dennis Praet ahead of this home encounter versus the Hammers.
4-1-4-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will operate in goal for the East Midlands side after shipping in two goals in each of his last two starts in the Premier League. Jonny Evans is a slight doubt for this game but could be ready in time to play alongside Caglar Soyuncu at the heart of the Foxes defence as they look to neutralise the threat of West Ham striker Michail Antonio during the 90 minutes.
Timothy Castagne has been one of the signings of the summer so far due to his incredible start to life in English football. The Belgian talent has already picked up one goal and two assists in his first three matches as a Leicester player. He will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while James Justin tries to produce another impressive showing as a makeshift left-back.
Midfield
Nampalys Mendy will assume the duties of a deep-lying, holding midfielder while both Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans play just ahead of him as the box to box midfielders. Praet is a slight doubt for this match, so James Maddison will be on standby if the Belgian fails to recover in time for this weekend’s clash at the King Power.
Both Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez will hope to use their pace and dribbling ability to cause a lot of headaches for the West Ham defenders out on the flanks.
Attack
Jamie Vardy will need to pass a late fitness test if he wants to lead the line for the Foxes up top. The English marksman has already scored five goals in three appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ team so far. He will fancy his chances of getting his name on the scoresheet yet again when he laces up to face off against the Hammers defence this weekend.
Kelechi Iheanacho will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
