West Ham United will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday hoping to pull off an upset in the London derby. The Hammers managed to secure an impressive 3-0 win over Leicester City before the international break, so they will be quietly confident about their chances of earning a result versus Spurs this weekend.
The East London side could set themselves up in a 3-4-3 formation with Michail Antonio expected to lead the charge for them up top. However, West Ham will come up against a Tottenham team that put six goals past Manchester United earlier this month, so we can expect to see a highly entertaining derby as both teams look to go all out in search of the three points.
3-4-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will operate in goal for the Hammers after keeping back to back clean sheets versus Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City respectively in the Premier League. West Ham could opt to play with a back three of Fabián Balbuena, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell as they work towards keeping Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in check throughout the 90 minutes.
Midfield
Declan Rice will anchor the midfield along with Tomas Soucek as they look to restrict their London rivals from creating too many chances at the centre of the park. Arthur Masuaku is a significant concern ahead of this game and might have to pass a late fitness test if he wants to get the nod to start on the left flank. Vladimír Coufal could get another opportunity to impress as the right wing-back.
Mark Noble and Ben Johnson will have to settle for a spot on the bench but could come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if needed.
Attack
Pablo Fornals, Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen will make up the Hammers frontline. All three West Ham attackers managed to get their names on the scoresheet versus Brendan Rodgers’ men earlier this month which will give them a lot of confidence to do some damage when they lace up to face the Tottenham defenders on Sunday.
Sebastien Haller and Andriy Yarmolenko will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game as the second-half substitutes away at North London.
