Premiership giants Rangers succumbed to a 2-2 draw after failing to beat Hibernian at Easter Road today. An early goal from Drey Wright turned out to be the first one that Gers have conceded this campaign. Alfredo Morelos levelled things right on the cusp of half-time with a tidy finish inside the box. Although the away side then regained the lead through Scott Arfield, they were unable to see out the win. A 71st-minute goal from Christian Doidge meant that the Ibrox club dropped further points in the heated race for the Premiership title.
Here Are The Rangers Player Ratings Vs Hibernian:
Rangers Player Ratings Vs Hibernian
Jon McLaughlin – 6.5
The Scottish goalkeeper made a couple of smart saves over the ninety but was beaten for the first time since joining Rangers. Helpless about both the Hibernian goals though.
James Tavernier – 6.5
The skipper charged forward and tried to deliver quality into the box on various instances over the course of the tie. Didn’t allow too many attacks down his end but the equaliser was created from there.
Connor Goldson – 6.5
The big centre-half didn’t make any mistakes in the heart of defence tonight but was punished for the complacency of the players alongside him. Made some essential blocks as well.
Filip Helander – 5.5
There were a few instances in the game where Helander could’ve been stronger when dealing with Hibs attacks. Should’ve done a better job dealing with the cross that led to the Hibs’ second goal.
Borna Barisic – 5
The Croatian full-back was extremely poor for a majority of the tie as he failed to deliver his usual quality from wide. Played multiple loose passes and defended terribly as well.
Glen Kamara – 5
The Finnish ace’s presence in the middle of the park doesn’t seem to serve a specific purpose in Gerrard’s side. He was nothing more than a spectator for a majority of the fixture.
Steven Davis – 7
The veteran midfielder was rather fluent with his passing during that match but wasn’t able to find the required penetration. Played some decent balls to release the attackers as well.
Scott Arfield – 6.5
The midfielder had an impressive start to the game but began to gradually fizzle out of proceedings in the second period. Wasted a glorious chance to score in the late stages of the tie as well.
Ianis Hagi – 6.5
Not everything that the Romanian speedster tried came off today, but his intelligence was far ahead of everyone else on the pitch. Played through some good sequences during the tie.
Alfredo Morelos – 6.5
The Colombian was at the right place at the right time on multiple occasions, and he managed to find the net in the first half. Despite showcasing good movement, didn’t look as sharp as usual today.
Ryan Kent – 6
The Englishman had what was undoubtedly his worst game of the season so far, as he failed to provide anything meaningful in the attack. Played multiple inaccurate passes as well.
