Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to seal the Champions League title when they face Bayern Munich in what will be a historic final at Estadio Da Luz on Sunday. Both the clubs are looking to seal a treble, having dominated in the domestic competitions. However, the French giants must remain cautious against a Bayern team who are coming on the back of emphatic wins over Chelsea, Barcelona and Lyon.
Predicted PSG Lineup Vs Bayern Munich
Defence
Thomas Tuchel may miss out on the services of Keylor Navas in what would be a massive blow for PSG heading into this game. He faces a race against time to recover from a hamstring problem, with Sergio Rico ready to deputise him in between the sticks.
Layvin Kurzawa is another defensive figure ruled out while Thomas Meunier has already joined Borussia Dortmund. It means Thilo Kehrer and Juan Bernat will likely retain their roles as fullbacks.
There won’t be any change in central defence either with Thiago Silva and Presnel Kimpembe featuring at the heart of PSG’s four-man backline. Tuchel does, however, have Abdou Diallo as a potential back-up at centre-back and even at left-back.
Midfield
Key midfielder Idrissa Gueye missed the last game due to a muscular problem. He is a doubt heading into this fixture, and we are unlikely to see him start versus Bayern Munich. The same goes to Marco Verratti, who is nursing a calf injury, although the Italian did feature as a substitute against RB Leipzig.
Nevertheless, we might see Leandro Paredes getting the nod in central midfield, alongside Ander Herrera while the ever-present figure of Marquinhos should retain his role in the holding midfield slot. These three will play a key role in providing stability, especially up against a frantic Bayern press.
Attack
Tuchel has a wealth of options in the attacking department as nearly all of his premier forwards are available, including Mauro Icardi and Julian Draxler.
However, it is Neymar who is expected to spearhead the PSG attack, alongside Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria. Their pace and trickery in the final third could be important in breaking down the high defensive line of FC Bayern.
Tuchel could utilise players like Icardi, Pablo Sarabia and of course, Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting later in the game.
