Leicester City will play hosts to Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon hoping to secure all three points so that they can ensure UEFA Champions League football for next season. The Foxes suffered a disappointing 3-0 loss at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend which means that they would have everything to play for in the final gameweek of this Premier League campaign.
Brendan Rodgers is expected to opt for a 3-4-3 formation and might name an unchanged lineup for this weekend’s clash versus the Red Devils.
3-4-3 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Manchester United
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will feature in goal for the East Midlands outfit despite shipping in three goals versus Spurs last weekend. Rodgers might opt for a back three of Ryan Bennett, Wes Morgan and Jonny Evans as they look to keep things tight at the back against the talented Man United attackers on Sunday.
Caglar Soyuncu will be unavailable for selection due to suspension, so the Foxes would have to find a way to put on a solid defensive display without their best defender on the field.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans and Wilfried Ndidi will anchor the Leicester midfield as they try to dominate the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The dynamic duo will also need to provide some decent service to the front players if Leicester are to come away on top this weekend.
Luke Thomas could get another chance to impress as a left wing-back while James Justin hopes to produce another solid display on the right side of Rodgers’ midfield. They will both need to work hard in getting to the byline so that they can offer some decent ammunition to Jamie Vardy inside the Man United penalty box.
Attack
Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez will be responsible for exposing Man United’s defensive weaknesses out on the flanks. The Premier League’s leading goal-scorer, Jamie Vardy will lead the line for the Foxes down the middle. The English striker will be Rodgers’ best hope for a goal this weekend as he is expected to be at the heart of every good move Leicester conjure up going forward.
