Real Madrid’s match against Valencia was a game of two halves. While Los Blancos were subjected to constant threats in the first half, the Madrid side eventually showed their true colours in the second half and scored three goals. Benzema should certainly be proud of his efforts, and one of his goals could be one of the contenders for the goal of the season.
Next up, Zidane faces Real Sociedad, and the manager would like to keep the winning run on and put the pressure on Barcelona in the race for the La Liga title. While the gaffer would love to give some of his players a breather, the match against Sociedad may just not be the occasion for it.
Predicted Real Madrid lineup versus Real Sociedad
Defence
Courtois would again be deployed as the goalkeeper, and the Belgian would like to believe that the next match does not become as tricky as the encounter with Valencia.
The back four should remain intact for this match, although we believe that sooner than later, the French gaffer would have to give his defenders a breather. While Ramos and Varane should be at the heart of the defence, Carvajal and Mendy would again be deployed at the two full-back slots. Both these full-backs would be given the liberty to join the side in the attack. Marcelo had not been named in the squad against Valencia after his knock against Eibar, and thus we should not see the Brazilian in action for this match either.
Midfield
With Modric playing the entire match, we do not feel that the Croat would be involved in this game from the start. However, Kroos should again partner Casemiro at the centre of the pitch. Valverde had started the last game from the word go, but it is fair to say that he has not been at his best. However, the manager is undoubtedly going to provide him with one more opportunity to shine for the side.
Forward
While Benzema is a nailed-on starter in this game, Hazard should also keep his place in the starting eleven. The only thing that the Belgian has been missing is his name on the scoresheet, and the ex-Chelsea man would like to believe that in this game, the jinx would be broken. Marco Asensio played beautifully after he came on the pitch and thus Zidane may be tempted to field him from the beginning for this encounter. Although the Spaniard would have to play from the right side, which is not his natural position, he could still make an impact for the team.
