Manchester United will take on Norwich City this Saturday in the FA Cup quarterfinals as they look to progress to the semifinals without any blip. The Red Devils thrashed Sheffield United in their last game with Martial scoring a hattrick. United still hope to keep their Champions League dreams alive and thus need to have a consistent run of form. However, the congestion of fixtures may prompt Ole Gunnar Solskjær to rotate the squad heavily. The Red Devils seem to have hit form in the last match and therefore should cope with some of their bigger stars on the bench. They have relatively easier teams to play against in the next few weeks and thus should be hopeful of their chances.
Predicted Manchester United lineup against Norwich City
Defence
David de Gea had nothing to do in the last match and should, therefore, be relatively fresh as compared to his teammates.
Eric Bailly should be at the heart of the defence for this match along with Lindelof. Maguire, who has played both the games after the restart, could get a break and the manager may preserve him for bigger occasions. At left-back, Brandon Williams should replace Luke Shaw as the youngster deserves a chance, and there are hardly any better opportunities than this game. On the right-hand side of the defence, Wan Bissaka performed the other night brilliantly, and his display should ensure him another chance in the team.
Midfield
Fred, who had been given a break in the previous game, should be in the side for this encounter along with McTominay at the centre of the midfield. The 23-year-old has recently signed a long term contract with the club and would be desperate to prove his worth. Andreas Pereira, who made an appearance from the bench in the last match, should be in the starting lineup for this match as we expect the manager to go for three midfielders for this game.
Forward
We expect Juan Mata to feature in this game after a cameo from the Spanish star in the last match. He should be part of a three-man forward line with Daniel James also accompanying him. The Wales star was rested in the previous game, and thus he should have fresh legs to make the runs in this game. Odion Ighalo did not impress in the last game, but we expect the gaffer to hand the Nigerian one more opportunity this time around.
