According to a recent interview by ESPN, as has been quoted by the Daily Mirror, Manchester City midfield ace Ilkay Gundogan has come out and stated publicly that he ‘can imagine’ Manchester United transfer target Raul Jimenez playing for Manchester City. There have been ample links between the Mexican and Manchester United all through the last couple of months, and Gundogan’s comments do come as an interesting surprise.
The German international midfielder commended the Wolves striker for his playing style, and even went on to say that he’s ‘got everything a world-class striker needs’. Much to Jimenez’s credit, Gundogan took things a bit further by saying that the Mexican had a lot of similarities to Bayern Munich man Robert Lewandowski in terms of general play. He said, “For a striker he is so mobile, but also physically so good and talented technically on the ball. I can imagine him playing with us.”
