According to a recent report by El Desmarque, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given Zinedine Zidane the green light to sanction a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer. The same source has also stated that the French midfielder’s relationship with the Red Devils is ‘broken’ and even the player’s agent, Mino Raiola is not expected to be an obstacle if Los Blancos decides to launch a move during the summer transfer window.
Pogba’s Struggles With Injury This Season
Pogba has endured an injury-ravaged season at Old Trafford so far, and his absence is one of the many reasons why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were struggling in the league before Bruno Fernandes came in to salvage their season in January. The French international has missed a significant chunk of this campaign due to a serious ankle injury.
However, we could still see him back in a Man United shirt later this season because of the COVID-19 outbreak which has led to the Premier League suspending all matches until April 30.
