Premier League giants Arsenal made their way up to ninth place on the league table after dispatching Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton side by a 3-2 scoreline tonight. The Toffees opened the scoring very early on through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but a goal from Eddie Nketiah and a brace by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ensured that the Gunners left the Emirates Stadium with all three points on the night.
Arsenal Players Rated In Promising Victory Vs Everton
Bernd Leno – 7
The Arsenal shot-stopper made one blinding save to deny Calvert-Lewin his second goal of the game late on. Looked uncomfortable at times with the ball at his feet though. Was at fault for the second Everton goal, however.
Hector Bellerin – 7
The Spaniard drove forward whenever the opportunity presented itself but wasn’t able to create too much in the final third. Didn’t have to do much defending until the late stages.
Shkodran Mustafi – 6.5
The German centre-half looked a bit flustered during the opening minutes of the game and probably should’ve done a better job dealing with the first Everton attack of the evening. Improved as the evening went on.
David Luiz – 7
Played an absolute peach of a ball into Aubameyang, which the Gabon international put away with aplomb. Looked short on confidence at times during the second period.
Sead Kolasinac – NA
Picked up what looked like a broken arm within the first twenty minutes of the game and was replaced by the young Bukayo Saka.
Dani Ceballos – 6
Although the Spaniard played a couple of neat passes that would’ve surely impressed the Arsenal faithful, he looked careless on the ball in the early knockings of the game.
Granit Xhaka – 6.5
The Swiss midfielder did well to keep the ball ticking in the first half but had a much more subdued influence in the second. Worked hard in the late stages as Everton piled on the pressure.
Nicolas Pepe – 6
The expensive French winger didn’t offer nearly as much as what was expected of him. Made a couple of decent runs, but failed to have a meaningful impact in the Everton box.
Mesut Ozil – 7
The German midfielder did well to link-up play in the first half and continued to progress all through the second period. Began to look fatigued as Everton pushed for an equaliser.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 8
The Gabonese international striker took both his goals superbly and looked the likeliest player to create something for Arsenal tonight. Made some good forward runs in the first half.
Eddie Nketiah – 8
The youngster showed great touch and finesse to put his first-half chance away with ease. Made some sharp attacking runs, and was unfortunate not to get a second goal on the night.

Lucas Torreira – NA
Didn’t have time to make an impact.
Matteo Guendouzi – NA
Didn’t have time to make an impact.
