Sean Dyche’s Burnley side picked up a vital point at Turf Moor against Arsenal, in a goalless draw that could’ve turned in the Clarets favour at multiple points during the tie. The Gunners started the game off positively but were soon tactically found out by Burnley. The Clarets then went on to pepper Bernd Leno’s goal with several shots, before Jay Rodriguez missed a sitter in the second half. They saw out the rest of the fixture and earned a vital point against one of the bigger clubs in the league.
Here Are The Burnley Player Ratings:

The Englishman made a couple of stellar saves over the course of the fixture, but didn’t have too much else to deal with in terms of Arsenal pressure. Distributed the ball effectively as well.
Matt Lowton – 8
The full-back put up a resolute shift against Pierre Emerick Aubameyang down the right flank. Didn’t get forward as much as usual but worked supremely hard tracking back.

The Burnley skipper had an excellent evening in defence as Alexandre Lacazette barely got a touch of the ball after the opening twenty minutes. Was a nuisance from attacking set-pieces too.

Like his centre-half partner, the veteran defender held his position superbly and didn’t offer Lacazette any time on the ball. Got into the box whenever possible and tried to make something happen.
Charlie Taylor – 8
The speedster had a special evening down the flank as Gabriel Martinelli was nothing more than a spectator for most of the tie. Made a couple of lung-busting runs forward as well.

Despite playing out of position on the right flank, he put in a real shift in the middle of he park with his ball-movement as well as passing. Got forward and acted as the third forward whenever required.

The midfielder controlled the tempo of the game right from the off, and he made a couple of vital defensive contributions along the way as well. Played some neat passes into Chris Wood.

Moved the ball around rather effectively in the middle of the park, and did a good defensive job when called into action as well. Tried to find that killer pass in the Arsenal final third.
Dwight McNeil – 9
The youngster delivered a plethora of sensational balls all through the ninety minutes and gave Hector Bellerin a torrid time down the flank. Worked the ball around superbly and kept his composure.
Chris Wood – 8.5
The New Zealand international was a constant thorn in the flesh of the Arsenal defence tonight. He held the ball up time and again, and did exceptionally well in bringing the other attackers into the game.
Jay Rodriguez – 8
The Englishman registered the Clarets’ first shot on target on the night, before going on to miss one glorious opportunity late on. Worked tirelessly and was a constant threat going forward.
