Leeds United will have a chance to make it six wins in a row this weekend when they will take on Huddersfield Town in the Yorkshire derby. Both teams are seeing contrasting fortunes at the moment as the Terriers are struggling in the 19th spot on the table. They received a hammering against Bristol City last weekend as they succumbed to a 5-2 defeat.
Huddersfield will hope to put up a fight against the high flying Leeds United side that is set to travel to the John Smith’s Stadium this weekend. Huddersfield have done well at home as they are unbeaten in their last six games. However, they have drawn four of those six encounters. United seem to be in a good run of form as they demolished Middlesbrough 4-0 and they would be the favourites to get another three points on the road.
Team News: Kalvin Phillips will have to sit this tie out after accumulating five yellow cards. Jamie Shackleton and Eddie Nketiah are back fit and available. Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts are expected to be unavailable as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.
Leeds United Predicted Lineup Vs Huddersfield Town
Formation (4-1-4-1)
Defence
Kiko Casilla is set to continue in between the sticks for the Whites. Liam Cooper might come in the heart of the defence. Gaetano Berardi could come into the lineup on the left of the back three. Luke Ayling will likely start on the right of club captain Cooper.
Midfield
Bielsa indicated that Ben White could come in and replace Kalvin Phillips in the defensive midfield role. So he could step up the pitch from defence to midfield. Stuart Dallas will likely be on his right. Mateusz Klich will play from the left side in midfield.
In the attacking half, Jack Harrison will feature from the left flank. Pablo Hernandez will occupy the central role as the attacking midfielder. Helder Costa will start from the right in the final third.
Attack
Eddie Nketiah was unlucky not to have gotten a start yet in the Championship as Bielsa had confirmed that he would have picked the English youngster if not for his injury as Bamford had gone through a barren patch after he failed to score in the last ten games. However, the former Crystal Palace forward has picked his game up over the past few weeks so Nketiah might have to miss out again now that he is back fit. Therefore Bamford should lead the line again.
