Ox, Milner And Gomez To Start For The Reds | 4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Watford

Liverpool will entertain Watford at Anfield on Saturday afternoon hoping to stretch their unbeaten run in the Premier League. The Reds were at their dominant best versus RB Salzburg in midweek and managed to secure a 2-0 win away in Austria which will give them a lot of confidence heading into this clash versus the Hornets.

Jurgen Klopp will be enticed to make a few changes to his side and is expected to stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation.

4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Watford

Alisson Becker will operate in between the sticks for the Reds after keeping back to back clean sheets versus Bournemouth and RB Salzburg respectively. The Brazilian goalie has put in a run of impressive performances since his return from injury so he will once again look to secure a shutout at the back versus the Hornets this weekend.

Dejan Lovren had to come off with an injury problem in midweek. The Croat is a major doubt for this weekend’s clash and is unlikely to recover in time so Joe Gomez might fill his boots alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool backline.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to keep his place at right-back as he focusses on getting forward and whipping in some dangerous crosses into the Watford penalty box. Andrew Robertson has started in seven consecutive matches for the European champions so he might be given some rest by Klopp to recharge his batteries for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup which kicks off in Qatar next week. Therefore, James Milner will get a chance to slot in as a makeshift left-back.

Naby Keita is currently playing some of the best football of his Liverpool career so it would be a surprise if he is not included in the starting XI on Saturday. Jordan Henderson has been performing well in the number six role which makes him a nailed-on starter versus the Hertfordshire outfit. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain might come in and replace Georginio Wijnaldum this weekend as the English midfield ace will carry more of a goal-threat going forward.

Both Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana will have to settle for a place on Klopp’s bench but might get a chance to make an impact during the game if needed.

The Merseyside giants might go with the same front three that started versus Salzburg in midweek. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will look to stretch the Watford defence out on the wide areas while Roberto Firmino tries to put in a tireless performance down the middle as the centre-forward.

Both Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri will be on stand-by as they patiently wait for their opportunity on the bench.
