Brighton will host Wolves in the next round of the Premier League fixtures at the Amex Stadium. The Seagulls are coming in this game on the back of a 2-1 win against a listless Arsenal side who are spiralling downwards. Wolves though are in a good run of form, and we could be in for a tight encounter.
Brighton have won three of their last four home league games against Wolves, drawing the other. Nuno Santo’s men though seem to be in ominous form at the moment as they are unbeaten in the last ten league games and have climbed to the fifth spot on the table. Graham Potter has managed to change the way the Seagulls play, and we are expecting a fascinating encounter with two progressive managers who will likely go for the win.
Team News: Solly March (groin) and Jose Izquierdo (knee) are expected to miss out again due to their respective injury issues. Bernardo made a comeback against Arsenal, and he was fit enough to be on the bench,
Brighton And Hove Albion Predicted Lineup Vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Formation (4-1-2-1-2)
Defence
Australian custodian Mathew Ryan will again continue in goal for the Seagulls. Adam Webster scored the opener against Arsenal, and he should keep his place in the centre back role. He should be partnered by the ever-present Lewis Dunk who is the mainstay in defence.
Martín Montoya might make a comeback in the lineup after he only played as a substitute in the last game. He could start at right-back. 27-year-old Dan Burn will be expected to keep his place at left-back to complete the back four.
Midfield
Dale Stephens will start in a deeper role in midfield, and his job will be to form a base of attack and shield the back four. Davy Propper will start in central midfield, and he should be partnered by the experienced Aaron Mooy who has managed to hit a good run of form.
Pascal Groß is often the chief creator of most of Brighton’s attacks, and he is likely going to occupy the attacking midfield role.
Attack
Leandro Trossard got a late run in against Arsenal, and he could be given a start upfront in place of Aaron Connolly. Connolly has done alright, but Trossard looks sharp and raring to go. Neal Maupay scored the winner against Arsenal, and he will look to continue his excellent run of form. He should be the other striker in the starting eleven.
